TNG

Hands down. I was a big Buffy fan, but ST:TNG had stronger writing and better stories. The episode where Picard is struck by a probe and lives 40 years in the life of some guy on a doomed planet is still one of the greatest episodes of any TV show I've ever watched.

Agreed

No Contest. I didn't even look at the other choices before I voted for ST:TNG

Twilight Zone

Would Twilight Zone count as Sci Fi? Because if so, I'd vote for Twilight Zone over TS:TNG

Voyager 4tw!

Star Trek Voyager 4 teh win! There are nine important reasons:
1. Seven of Nine
2. Seven of Nine
3. Seven of Nine
4. The morphing starship
5. Seven of Nine
6. Seven of Nine
7. Deployment of subspace relays. Nice to finally see someone give even a token notice to how "subspace" works.
8. Seven of Nine
9. Seven of Nine

Actually, I like a few other features, but I was going for the visual-joke-thing above...

* Kate Mulgrew as Captain Janeway. I like her acting style, I think she's a hottie, and she's fun to watch. She has an expressive face, but tones it down enough to make her character believable. There's that whole "first prominent female captain"-thing she's got going on, too.
* The episodes involving the war across times was really cool, but I hate hate HATE the fact that so many TV programs use this time-travel or Alternate-Universe schtick. Great storylines, fun arcs, but with absolutely zero impact on the outcome of the series? Ugh. About the only time I've seen this done well was on Angel, where Angel spends an entire day with Buffy as a human. That actually has a long-term impact because Angel retains the memory of how it was. I think Joss did it well with "Wish" (from Buff) too, since it brought another character into the series and spawned at least one more storyline.
* I don't know if the series got better or worse towards; after three seasons, we stopped getting cable and stopped watching. I am planning on Netflixing the whole series after we finish Angel and Buffy.

Voyager's just one of my all-time faves! But I'm sufficiently geeky that I pretty much like all the ones listed in the poll.

Maybe I should subscribe to USD TV and Tivo so I can catch up on all the TV I've missed over the last fifteen years.

Then again, maybe I won't.

ANGEL

Season 5 is the best tv season Ive ever seen.

And trek - DS9 owns TNG, sorry.
(Witht he exception of the TNG ep: the Inner Light, which is what ben referenced.)

Finally.. yes, Twilight Zone is missing. Bad error.
