Soda Pop Kills

Paul Murphy has an article up at Murphy Maphia about the rise in esophageal cancer which corresponds to soft drink intake. As always, Murphy Maphia supports Drupal Distributed Authentication, so you can log in over there using “my_name@barnson.org” and your password here.

  1. I’m Addicted And I Can’t Stop

As you all know, I’m addicted to Diet Coke. Diet Coke is carbonated. It seems, according to the crack research team in India, carbonation does something to the glands near some major organ which does something to bile which does something to give me esplhegm cancer which is “usually fatal”.

    I may be paraphrasing.

I request that we at least remain accurate to the scientific findings as change the title of this thread to “carbonation kills”. I don’t want Diet Coke unfairly discriminated against when every carbonated drink out there is potentially lethal.

Raise your hand if you’ve even heard of eseoterrestial cancer before. Didn’t think so. Where are the Indians getting this research grant from? Fallwell? If estereosurroundsound cancer was really that dangerous and rampant, wouldn’t doctors have been working hard to discover the cause of the bile release for all these years?

    Diet Coke scandal.

Damnit. No I’ll be forced to quit. And I can’t stop.

    1. Diet Coke

I have to say that carbonated beverages & caffeine have almost a need for a 12 step recovery group. Like the song says “Hear I Go Again”. Wish me luck in my attempt to quit.
