1. The (mostly) free way

   The easiest way I’ve found is to connect the line out of your soundcard to your line in, and use a program called Silent Bob to record what’s coming in the line in.

   Goes back to our discussions that they’ll never be ablet o fully protect audio or video because in the end, the media has to either come out speakers on be displayed on a TV.

      I do a similar thing. I send the audio-out to my external Firewire soundcard, then use Cakewalk Sonar or Cool Edit to record the stream. Works well, and the sound degradation is minimal. Particularly since most streaming audio, if it’s not loud rock-and-roll, sounds like crap anyway.
