Not sure if this is the right forum or not for this. If there are any IA engineers or network engineers who are interested in working the security side of the house I work for a company in Dulles, VA who are looking for people. If you know of someone or are someone who is interested, you will need to have or be able to get a security clearance.
Please let me know if you are interested, and my apologies if this is the wrong forum…
Cheers!

Let ya know after Friday…
On Friday, employees will be told whether or not they are going to be retained by the fortune 100 company which just bought us. I’ll let ya’ know after that!
Of course, given how expensive it is to live near DC these days, they’d have to bump their previous offer up by about $12-$15K 🙂

interesting
Honestly with the need for good security people these days, salaries are pretty negotiable. I have a different way of approaching it this time that would work in your favor.
Let me know… 😉
IA is huge
My company is looking for IA people as well. If you want to get into a big field nowadays, information assurance is it.

What is IA?
Obviously, too lazy to do a web search on my own.
Quite Simply
IA basically breaks down into Network security. IA has a broad base and covers many aspects. Some IA engineers work on policy and guidance. SOme work on “Red Teams” which do vulnerability testing.
Some basic responsibilities i am doing now require me to review engineering proposals and determine if they are “secure” builds. I ensure that they meet or exceed the current DoD and best practices guidance.
Cleared IA Candidates
Might want to check out http://www.clearancejobs.com. They’ve got plenty of IA, infosec, and network security candidates looking for work. All are US citizens with active or current security clearances.
