An interesting fact I found on a radio website,
For the second straight year, The Wiggles have beaten out AC/DC and Nicole Kidman as Australia’s top earners. The Wiggles earned $37 million last year, AC/DC made $18 million, and Kidman brought in just about $16 million.
Am I the only one that thinks this is wrong?

Their concert rocked!
I’ll assume you’ve not been to one of their stage shows. We took Sarah and her cousin when the Wiggles came to the MCI Center a while back. At the end of the show, the only thing I was disappointed with was myself – for not splurging and getting better floor seats instead of one section higher for the slight discount. Sure, I know how that makes me sound, but it was a worth-every-penny-spent moment.
OK, you gotta wonder, why them, what’s the fascination? I don’t have a good answer, but as someone who pays attention to these things, it’s not just their marketing, because their marketing is clever but not exactly rocket science. And we’ve certainly played right into the mania, with videos, products, the show tickets. I am scared to think of the $$$ we’ve put in their pockets over the last few years.
I’ll just say this – better than Barney.
Jon, if you’re kids are into it, we’ll have to do a big outing to see them if they come back to town this year.
Thw Wiggles….Wiggles
I think besides the fact their songs are the best children’s songs along with VeggiesTales, the Wiggles main attraction is the fact they’re busy. Meaning, they’re always moving. Non-stop motion. I think this helps keep kids’ attention which is why they do so well.
And btw, “Quack quack quack quack quack cock-a-doodle-doo”
My $.02 Weed Wiggle
That would be nice.
I am sure that the kids would enjoy it. I have been giving a bigger effort lately to take more time and do these kinds of things with the girls. We took them to the Disney on ice & the Ringling brothers Circus in the last couple months.
It’s been so long since we’ve seen each other, it would be neat to get together and let the kids play. If you ever find yourself out this way (Harpers Ferry) or ever want a relaxing day away from the city, we have a nice play area in the back yard for the kids and a nice deck to watch them from :0)
A hearty endorsement.
I can attest to the serenity of Jon’s back yard. Kick back on the deck and watch the sunset, talking with a good friend, while the fireflies begin to dance and a gentle wind blows in from the surrounding, pristine wooded Civil War battlefields?
It’s a good spot 🙂
