So in recognition of national breast cancer awareness month, I’ve changed the site background color to pink for October.
Hey, I kind of like this. Maybe it’ll be a permanent change 🙂
Half-baked opinions, served lukewarm.

Permanent link
If you’re going to make it a permanent change, then I suggest placing a permanent banner or link somewhere on barnson.org to a breast cancer site. You also might want to think about a “sister” link or banner for heart disease.
Got ’em!
Got ’em on the right-hand side. Gotta love Google. If you go to the perma-link for this entry, it’s a bunch of breast cancer links.
Regardless, no, I’m not planning on going permanently pink 🙂 But I bought some of the pink Energizer batteries (same cause, BCAM), and the mother of one of our lesser-known regulars here at barnson.org has been battling breast cancer for a number of years. I’ll leave it to the regular to decide whether or not to post regarding it.

Theme
Yeah, I’ve decided that I can’t decide if the current color scheme looks vaguely feminine or if it just looks like a bottle of Pepto-Bismol got sick on my keyboard.

Wha…?
Having been away from barnson.org for a week or so, imagine my shock upon my return! I kept hitting my monitor, but I couldn’t make it stop!
My vote is yuck, but blog administration is not a democracy, so I can deal with this for a month. I come for the content, not the pictures.
You know, it’s also Hispanic Heritage Month (9/15-10/15). How about red, yellow, and green?
Lose the Pink
After several nights without sleep, I realized the deprivation was caused by the pink. It’s time to send it back to the original color.
Able To Sleep Again
Thanks for the switch back. I am now able to sleep again. Like the new layout as well.
Wow, Matthew…
… you’ve clearly inconvenienced a lot of us with your show of support for Breast Cancer research.
This is why you should follow Homer Simpson’s advice and just not care about stuff. 😛
Back In The Day
I used to be able to chose different “themes” for barnson.org. Now I don’t seem to have that option. Perhaps bringing that option back coupled with adding an option for “current holiday theme” might be thge way to go.

Maintaining themes…
Right, I did have multiple themes enabled at one time. The problem was, I kept finding that alternate themes did bad things to layout, which people would gripe to me about via PM. So I ditched ’em.
If we’re in favor, though, I’ll be glad to reinstate them with a bunch of stock ones. Just don’t complain to me about any theme problems but the default barnson.org one 🙂
