Ran across an interesting entry over on wired: “I Survived My Internet Vacation. The interesting thing I found out, trying a similar experiment back in December? Real-life stuff falls apart because I wasn’t spending time online, and other real-life stuff comes together because of it.
What’s the longest stretch you’ve gone without access to email or the web in the past two years? One week was my limit, last month.
1-week
When I went to disney in August of 06 I was without internet access for the week. It is interesting how dependent I have become on the internet. I can remember stumbling my way getting onto the internet back in 96 when i was stationed on Fort Sill. At that time it was a chore for me to log on, and now I can’t live without it (well kind of).
One week, no problem
I did this in December, on a cruise to the Caribbean. Web-surfing seemed very “anti-cruise” to me anyway, so I didn’t mind it at all. I’m a complete addict at home, of course.
Eh??!!
What’s this silly talk about “no internet”? You mean people spend more than 24 hours at any given time WITHOUT GETTING ON THE INTERNET?
I call rubbish! Can’t be done. You all are taking whatever Justing took before his drug test 😉
My $.02 Weed
No, can’t say that I do.
Nope, nope, can’t say that I do!

This would be no sweat for me, really, except then I’d have to actually pay for my porn.
And there are some sacrifices I’m just not willing to make.
