    I’d totally do this. My first preference would be to be put into a cardboard box or something, just so that my family wouldn’t have to sink $2000 into an industry that’s already horrifically overpriced and built to prey on the vulnerability and guilt of the mourners (‘if you REALLY loved him you’d get the top line casket, wouldn’t you?’), but I’m not sure if that’s legal, or, well, hygenic.

    So if I had to sink over a grand into a casket, then damn it I’d want it to be a frickin’ cool casket of my choosing, not some standard run of the mill thing. I’d be the dead guy on the hill in Our Town that all the other dead people would be looking at and saying “Dude, you’re such a geek.” And I’d be like, “Yeah, but at least I’m still standing out.”
