So it’s time, once again, to upgrade barnson.org to a new version of Drupal. I’ll be taking things down for a few hours.
Not like I have more than a half-dozen regular readers anyway. So for you six guys out there, sorry we’re going to be down for a bit!

Drupal
What’s the latest version these days?
Site maintenance
So, you decided to do site maintenance at the same time as Facebook. But I can still reach Barnson.org, and it isn’t acting weird. Hmmmm?
Check the dates…
Check the dates; I’d been done for nearly a day by the time you posted, Chris 🙂
6.12
Drupal 6.12 is the latest. And uprades are easier than ever; I did the barnson.org one in, all told, around twenty minutes (from 4.17, to 5.18, to 6.12).
There were a few hitches, but I’d just done one for my airplane club site at http://uterc.org/, so that made it easier since I had some experience. Their setup is a little more complex, though, with forums that become front-page news, and a certain forum that is private for club members only.
Don’t come round much
I can say since i have been using the Google reader, i don’t actually go out to sites much – I just wait for new posts to hit the reader…
Sweet, gotta try it!
Sweet, I gotta try Google Reader. I’m also looking at reinvesting in some state-of-the-art blogging tools… Notepad and copy/past just ain’t cutting it anymore.
