Disposing of the Bodies

The trudging down my driveway to the large green coffin of a trashcan with my black bags full of the ghastly remains of partially eaten food, unused gift wrap, torn boxes.. and its all over.

I’ll admit, this was my craziest Christmas ever. Moved to VA with a newborn, shopping with said noewborn, and producing a Christmas album with the family.

Yet today was wonderful, as it always is, and ended with me being too full, back at home, Kelly and Liam in bed.. and me disposing of all the merriment.

Now comes the long haul – 364 days to go.

Oh.. BTW: Here’s a tune or two from the aforementioned album..

  1. Christmas music

We enjoyed listening to your music tonight. Kelly is an awesome rapper, btw. Please tell her I said so! You guys did a great job.

It has been a crazy month for you guys. I thought starting grad school before Christmas was nuts, but moving, that’s just plain crazy. I’m glad you found a great neighborhood for the family. I guess we’ll have to come out again to see the new house! I have school 7 days a week, so don’t hold your breath. We got Christmas Day off and I’ll also get New Year’s Day off school.

    1. Many thanks..

A quick note.. and I should have mentioned this before.. The girl in the rap is actually my sister Sarah, and the other guy is my brother brett.

The girl in “Ill be home” is Kelly.

And.. the stressed out sounding guy in both.. thats me.

And yes.. you DO have to come out and see the house.

      1. Lucky…

Lucky. Mine stops at my Grandpa, who changed our name from “Bjarnasson” because he was sick of people mis-pronouncing the “j”. Isn’t it funny how our entire lives are boiled down to these little tidbits? My grandfather liked caramel and Almond Rocha, loved to play scrabble, and changed our last name. A whole, full, rich life, boiled down to one sentence about trivialities. I wonder how I’ll be known in another 70 years?

          1. Also known…

            I know another one 🙂

Recorded some songs on an obsolete format called “CD” that we can’t play anymore, changed diapers on hospital patients, and was in a commercial where he drank bugs.

I like the one you did for me, by the way. I think I’ll put that on my headstone.

Then again, I’ve always though “Hey, watch this!” would be an excellent epitaph. And in little, tiny letters under it, “Oh, crap!”

I always liked the stuntman’s epitaph:

“Just tell me you got the shot.”
