Wil Wheaton
I just hope that, regardless of whatever else they do, that Wil Wheaton is part of the picture. He’s become a poster child for self-taught Linux and Web geeks everywhere. Plus, he’s not at all like Wesley Crusher in real life 🙂

Not William Shatner!
Thank (insert deity or natural phenomenon of choice here) they aren’t casting washed-up old Bill Shatner as Kirk again. I mean, he was great for the role, but after playing it for forty years… he’s done.

Denny Crane!
Besides, if he made a commitment to STXI, we’d miss him in his Emmy-winning role on Boston Legal (which last time I checked, I might be the only person still watching, and I only do so to hear the Shat utter ‘Denny Crane’ whenever he’s making a point.)
ACTUALLY..
My understanding is that he may indeed play elderly Kirk, with flashbacks to young Kirk.
