  1. All those, plus at least one more…

I may catch some fanboy flack, but I am excited about Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer. The CGI on the Surfer looks cool in the trailers, and while the first was panned, I enjoyed it on later viewings for what it was (establishing the characters, setting up sequels, getting the merchandising right…). So, the sequel is on my list.

I mentioned to my wife that Spider-man is next week, and after she was done rolling her eyes at me, agreed to work on plans for taking in the film. Now to talk her into seeing it in a proper venue – Uptown or IMAX. My brother and I saw Superman Returns in IMAX at Dulles Air and Space and it rocked.

Bourne is also on my list, really dug those first two movies, Damon really kicks it as Jason in those; and no matter what, Die Hard can do no wrong in my eyes, so we’ll be there, too.

    1. Supes

Also saw Supes and the last Harry potter at the Dulles iMAX – worth the trip.

Unfortunately, it will be the manassas theatres.. if I can even get out to see the flicks. here’s hopin!

  2. Wanna see ’em all!

Yeah, I want to see all of the above. At $7.00 a ticket, that’s $70 on entertainment. Double it, because I’ll probably either see them with a date (a hot one!), or I’ll buy movie-snacks.

I think the ones I’ll have to see alone or with guy-friends are Transformers, Die Hard 4, Bourne, Evan, and Simpsons. The others, I think I can persuade my girl to see with me.

  3. Reruns?

They’re all going to be exciting movies, but come on–70% of them are sequels? I wish to begin an extended rant on Hollywood, but I won’t. Instead I will spend hundreds of dollars, and get part 4 (or even 5!) next summer. I am a cog in the machine. But I will NOT see Oceans 43.

We need more indie films, eh Sammy?

    1. Agreed

Agreed. There are no new ideas in Hollywood.

In an industry in which the primary concern is whether the producers get their investment back (sorry Sammy), many people are unwilling to take a chance on something that might be a little risky.
