Well.. There are things in life you wait for and seem to ever be on the cusp of happening.
So, as we approach the last month before those guilt filled promises we call New years resolutions, I have 20 things I think its about time get taken care of.FEEL FREE TO REPLY WITH MORE!
ITS ABOUT DARN TIME: (in no particular order) 1) Sam Graber put up some music for me to download. 2) I get around to updating timpane.com 3) Matt released a collection of some sort. 4) The movie theatre stopped showing commercials. 5) Sledge Hammer! returned to the airwaves. 6) I wrote another screenplay. 7) “The Right Of Way” gets posted on Barnson.org 8) Ben Affleck’s 15 minutes were up. 9) Ditto for Britney, Ashton, and (please!) Carrot Top 10) Billy Joel returned to pop music. 11) Elton John left pop music. 12) People stopped remaking their own songs (Bon Jovi…) 13) A 4th Evil Dead movie came out. 14) I started exercising. 15) People started watching Star Trek again. 16) Sam and I collaborated on a song. 17) Rachel left Joey for Ross 18) People admit they hated “Cats” 19) Women stopped smoking cigars 20) Pencil erasers stopped leaving black streaks.

I have The Right Of Way on my PC right now, I just need to upload it and put it on my music page. I’d been hoping to get around to using a little audio magic on it (pre-mastering work so that it sounds better), but Justin objected 🙂 I did a quick hack on Chica’s Rag to show what can be done, and if I recall correctly, his comment was
Anyway, I’ll put up a blog when I have it up on the site.

Well, actually, I was the one who gave Matt R.O.W., with a lot of it fixed up. Some of my tape damage was unfixable, though.. and there was a slight loss of quality from the Mp3 compression I used to send it to him.
My point about Chica’s Rag in particular is that it, One Man, Breathless, All over again, ad Afterlife have all been remade now, and the real fun of having R.O.W. to listen to now would be the nostalgia factor, and as a point of comparison to the new versions.
Troublemaking kids.. and your stupid talking dog. I would have gotten away with it if not for you.

FOLLOWUP!
FIVE YEARS: HALF A DECADE: Etc, later. Yup.. when I wrote this it was 1/6 of my life ago, and I figured it deserved some followup.
Here is goes.
1) Sam Graber put up some music for me to download. I have heard some of Sam’s work since then.. and loved it.
2) I get around to updating timpane.com Did so! Its much more streamlined now.
3) Matt released a collection of some sort. VOID WAR! And the posted stuff here.. but I think a real album would take about 4 months and would be worth it.
4) The movie theatre stopped showing commercials. Enter: The “Twenty”. Awesome. Commercials up to the start time of the movie, then trailers. I don’t mind this.. the lights are up, volume down halfway, and if you just show up on time, you can skip it!
5) Sledge Hammer! returned to the airwaves. Nope! But I have the DVDs!
6) I wrote another screenplay. I am FILMING a screenplay i wrote. NINJAS VS ZOMBIES!! Yeah, you have to check it out!
7) “The Right Of Way” gets posted on Barnson.org Done!
8) Ben Affleck’s 15 minutes were up. Kudos to Ben for directing Gone baby Gone, which ha sproven that he does have real talent behind the camera. PLUS, I am really warming to his Kevin smith Stuff.
9) Ditto for Britney, Ashton, and (please!) Carrot Top Britney: Wow, whoda thunk. Ashton: bigger than ever, I fear. Carrot Top: I’ve turned a corner. I like him.
10) Billy Joel returned to pop music. No.. but I saw his concert and he was awesome. Plus ha wrote a VERY Billy anti war song performed by some other guy.
11) Elton John left pop music. I was kidding. Love the guy.
12) People stopped remaking their own songs (Bon Jovi…) Turned the corner here, too. Bought “This Left Feels Right” by Bon Jovi.. an entire album of odd remakes. It is their best.
13) A 4th Evil Dead movie came out. Still waiting.
14) I started exercising. From time to time. not often enough.
15) People started watching Star Trek again. Next Summer, PLEASE WORK!
16) Sam and I collaborated on a song. Still waiting on this one. Its been half a decade Sam, throw me a friggin bone, willya?
17) Rachel left Joey for Ross How about Joey left the Airwaves.. kind of Sad to have Friends fizzle out with Joey. I would LOVE a reunion show.
18) People admit they hated “Cats” Really.. it sucks.
19) Women stopped smoking cigars Not seeing it as much anymore. Glad about it.
20) Pencil erasers stopped leaving black streaks. Nope.. looking at one now. Motherf****r.
