Wish us luck!

Four’s the limit
Well, four children is a bit like four cups of coffee: you can do it, but you can be pretty certain you’ve overdone it by the end of the day 😉 I think this is the last one we plan on having.
Anyway, Christy’s coming home today. With luck, so will JJ. He had double pneumonia at birth, but is recovering nicely. If he does, he’ll have daily visits from a home health care nurse until he’s well.
Unfortunately, our digital camera is with Christy at the hospital, and my mother-in-law’s doesn’t fit our USB jack. So we’re out of luck on getting pictures up until at least tomorrow. Stay tuned!

JJ still in hospital, out tomorrow (hopefully)
We got Christy back from the hospital today. It’s nice having her on the couch talking to the family right now; we’ve missed her.
Unfortunately, JJ acquired double pneumonia breathing in amniotic fluid in the birth canal, so he’s still in the hospital under observation. They removed the I.V. today, but the stint is still in his head because they need to administer daily antibiotics. It looks like they’ll probably release him tomorrow, and he’ll be under the daily care of a home health care nurse for about a week, but it looks like he’ll be fine.
Considering that Sara and Elijah did the same thing, we should be used to this by now. The doctor told us, “given your family history of problems immediately after birth, I’d suggest not attempting a home delivery in the future”. Well, good for us, we’re done after this one 🙂 Anyway, JJ should be just fine, though it was slightly scary at the start.

Welcome
Congrats on the new arrival. Thoughts and prayers are with JJ and the family from Arizona. Can’t wait to see pictures. I bet he looks like Eli and Zach. The Jacob Genes. Boy do you and Christy have your hands full now. 4 little Matts and Christy’s running around. I wish you luck but know you will do fine. Again Congrats on number 4.
EDIT by matthew: I’m assuming this is from Anne.
Assumption
Hey There the assuming was hit right on the nail. Am glad the little one is home and all is fine. Keep us all Posted
Glad I guessed it riht!
Glad I figured out who it was from. Baby’s doing well now, we’re having visits from a home health nurse to help administer antibiotics & check up on him. He’ll be sleeping in his own bed for the first time tonight.
The other kids are handling it well; Elijah has a little baby doll of his own that he practices putting into the car seat and swing. It’s cute, and helps him identify more with Christy holding a baby vs. him not being held as much 🙂
