Mother’s Day has snuck up on me!

We’re down to the wire on Mother’s Day gifts and I’m not sure what to send my mom this year. She’s just had surgery and so she can’t do much. She’s allergic to everything under the sun so I can’t send her chocolates or a gift certificate to a nice restaurant.

What are you all doing for your beautiful wives and mothers this weekend?

  1. For a mom that just about everything….

My dad and Genna takes me and my mom out to lunch every Mother’s day. I didn’t know what to get her. She has makeup that she doesn’t use, perfume that she uses occasionally and jewerly that collects dust. She never changes her earrings and she has rings on most fingers that never go back into the box. So what do I get her. Well, about a month ago I went into borders and saw this book. It is a daily devotional for women written by Iyanla Vanzant. Those who are not familiar with her. She is a Spiritual speaker. She has written many many books on the subject. She is located in Silver Spring MD. I decided that the daily devotional will get more use than another shirt or a pair of earrings.

Christy, since your mom is under the weather, maybe a magazine subscription or a good book.

    1. Great idea!

I had not thought of a magazine subcription, yet she has purchased several for me and my children over the years. We’ve thoroughly enjoyed them over the years! I’ll have to go down to Walmart and look at all the options to decide which to do. It may be a late gift, but I could tell her it’s coming.

Matt gave me my Mother’s Day present tonight. I’d been hinting very largely for a Dance Dance Revolution set so he went and got one! We’ll be getting a lot more exercise around here! That’s a great way to work off the chocolates he got me!–
